In 1988, the original building was demolished and in 1990, a new building was constructed, adding more rooms for the residents. The historic front facade was saved, returning the building to its original design, with more than 200 pieces of furniture and artwork restored. As a non-profit organization that has been part of the community for over 100 years, The Argyle has maintained the facility’s warm and inviting feeling of home, to ensure that thoughts of health, home and happiness are alive for all residents.
Over a hundred years later, the mission of The Argyle remains and seniors are still being cared for.

We believe in encouraging independence and preserving the dignity of residents through human contact, care and nurturing.
We are committed to retaining a caring and responsible staff that will provide excellent customer oriented services to residents while maintaining a financially sound organization. The Argyle’s Board of Directors is a group of caring community members and volunteers dedicated to offering affordable housing to seniors throughout the Denver community. Together they work to maintain, update and improve The Argyle to ensure that it continues to be a place where happiness comes to life.
